Our Story

It all started nearly twenty years ago when our family relocated to Abuja. I was a Minister at the City of David Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. The Late Pastor Eskor Mfon was my boss and the Parish Pastor. As we prepared to set out for Abuja, God gave us a mandate to start a work for the expansion of the kingdom assignment. We informed and secured the spiritual support of Pastor and then began more profoundly seek the face of the God with prayer and fasting. He answered our plea for His guidance and gave the name of the Parish from His word in Deuteronomy 33: 27 “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.

He will drive out your enemies before you saying, “ Destroy Them !” We set out for Abuja and started worshiping in the interim with the Desire of Nation Parish while still seeking the father’s direction. We south out Pastor Olu Obanure who was the then state Pastor and shared our plans. He was so supportive even praying, fasting along and joining us at a night vigil to wait on the God’s guidance. Thus was directed, we commenced on the 3rd December 2000 that which has today become a thirteen year old vision started in a providentially available hall in family residence in Maitama.

The Pioneering team was made up of my family, that of Pastor Ugo Ikpeazu who was my assistant Pastor and half the family of Pastor Eva Azodoh. In those formative days, God used every member of these families – including our little children at that time – in diverse ways to sow and nourish the seed that only God increased to what became The Everlasting Arms Parish TEAP Zone – with several Areas and Parishes of RCCG.
